About the director:
Yassine Aït Fkir is a researcher in media and artistic studies. He combines cinematic creation with academic research, focusing on issues related to humanity, memory, and identity. His work pays particular attention to local culture and geographical margins, employing a realist approach enriched by a poetic aesthetic.In 2011, he earned a Professional Bachelor's Degree in Cinematographic and Audiovisual Techniques from the Multidisciplinary Faculty of Ouarzazate. In 2013, he obtained a Specialized Master's Degree in Educational Engineering and Information Technology from the École Normale Supérieure of Tetouan. He later received a Ph.D. in 2025 from the Faculty of Letters and Arts at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra.Alongside his academic career, he has written and directed several short fiction films, including The Guardian of Paradise, The Village Student, and The River. He has also directed documentary films dedicated to culture, heritage, and the Hassani Saharan region, including Oued Noun and the Caravan Trade (2019), Assassination (2023), and Desert Scenery (2026).
